Denville, NJ – Einhorn Harris is pleased to announce that Jennie L. Osborne, Esq. has been appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to the District XI (Passaic County) Fee Arbitration Committee.

The fee arbitration committee is a process established by the New Jersey Court Rules.  It is a process in which clients can request an arbitration to resolve a fee dispute with his or her attorney.  The arbitration allows for a more informal hearing and usually a faster resolution than civil litigation.  The disputes are heard by a panel of both attorneys and non-attorneys who have been appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Jennie L. Osborne, Esq. will serve a four year term beginning in October 2014.  When asked about her appointment, Ms. Osborne said:  “It is an honor to be appointed. Many clients complain about unfair billing by their attorneys. This committee, which is staffed by both attorneys and non-attorneys, can help to alleviate these issues when they arise.”

Jennie L. Osborne, Esq. is Counsel in the matrimonial and family law departments of Einhorn Harris.  She has extensive experience in divorce and custody law and litigation.  She was associate trial counsel to former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevy in his divorce and custody litigation in 2008.  The trial highlighted substantial issues involving joint custody, parenting time, celebrity goodwill valuation (how much is being a celebrity worth?), and employment valuations.
