(DENVILLE, N.J. – May 7, 2019) – Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, PC is pleased to announce that Jhanice V. Domingo, a partner in the firm’s Family Law Practice, has been
appointed to the advisory board of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA).
After serving as the NFALA’s first woman president in 2017-18, Domingo will serve a two-year term on the advisory board through December 2020. She also currently serves on the NFALA’s Judicial and Executive Nominations and Appointments Committee.
“The leadership and fortitude that Jhanice brings to this select board is immeasurable, and it sets NFALA up for a very bright future,” said current NFALA President Eric C. de los Santos. “The guidance and wisdom of the NFALA advisory board is critical for the success and future of our organization. Members of the advisory board are established national leaders and representative of our diverse membership.”
Domingo said, “The National Filipino American Lawyers Association is near and dear to me. It is an honor to serve on its advisory board and share my institutional knowledge of the organization and experience as the group’s former president. I look forward to advising NFALA’s new leaders and continuing to serve and help NFALA achieve its mission.”
Domingo focuses her practice on family law and litigation. She handles complex, high-conflict family law cases as well as alternative dispute resolution of simpler family law matters. With nearly 20 years of legal experience, she formerly was an assistant prosecutor in Somerset County.
A well-known leader in the Asian Pacific American community, Domingo is vice president of the Legal Section of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Korean American Family Service Center, which recently appointed her as counsel of its pro bono legal clinic in Bergen County. In addition, she is a past president of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ) and currently chairs APALA-NJ’s Judicial & Prosecutorial Appointments Committee, working closely with New Jersey’s elected officials to identify highly qualified minority candidates for nomination and appointment to the New Jersey State Judiciary. She also has served on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee.
