Matheu D. Nunn, Esq., a former Morris County Assistant Prosecutor, is the second member of the team. During his tenure as a Prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted major crimes, including homicides, acts of official misconduct and domestic violence matters. He was involved in both Trial and Appellate practice. Mr. Nunn handled significant appeals on behalf of the State of New Jersey before both the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court.
Through their prosecutorial experience, both Mr. Ascher and Mr. Nunn possess the unique insight in the practice of Criminal defense law. Since their early experience involved investigations and prosecutions for the State, as defense attorneys they have great insight which enables them to evaluate aspects of the State’s case from the initial Police investigation to the Grand Jury process and ultimately to the State’s presentation of their case at Trial. This enables them to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the State’s case. It also allows them to employ the appropriate strategies and tactics best suited to your defense either at time of Trial or during plea negotiations.
