Katherine Fredland joined Einhorn Harris Ascher Barbarito & Frost, PC’s matrimonial department in September 2011 after working as a Law Clerk for the Honorable John E. Selser, III, Superior Court Judge for the Family Division in Passaic County, NJ. 

While her family is filled with attorneys, Katherine originally pursued a different path after graduating from Barnard College in 1992.  She worked in the music industry for a number of years before relocating to California, where she attended the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business to obtain an MBA in Marketing.  After graduating in 1997, she held positions in marketing and business development both in Silicon Valley with technology companies including Intel Corporation and in Los Angeles with entertainment companies including Clear Channel Communications.

Succumbing to the inevitable, Katherine returned to the east coast to follow in the footsteps of her many attorney family members, earning her JD at Rutgers School of Law-Newark.  During law school, Katherine interned at the Division of Law of the New Jersey Attorney General’s office as well as with the Honorable Eugene Austin, Judge in the Superior Court of Bergen County.  

She decided to concentrate in family and matrimonial law, interning with the Honorable Miguel De La Carerra, and serving as interim Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronny Jo Siegal before working with Judge Selser -  all in the family division of the courts.
